HYST’s Project was Honored the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Advance Award of Hunan

Recently, a good news was announced from Hunan Provincial Scientific &Technology Department that the project Development and Application of Key Steel-making Technology of High-strength and High-toughness Steel Used in Deep-sea Pipeline applied by HYST was honored the second prize of Scientific and Technological Advance Award of Hunan Province of 2020.

In view of the quality features of high-strength and high-toughness steel used in deep-sea pipeline, HYST developed the series of key steel-making technologies of X65QO steel used in deep-sea pipeline, and effectively solved the problems of X65QO steel-making, continuous casting and quality control. Based on these achievements, the project Development and Application of Key Steel-making Technology of High-strength and High-toughness Steel Used in Deep-sea Pipeline HYST applied got the granting of 2 invention patents and 1 utility model patent and the publication of 10 relevant papers.

X65QO deep-sea line pipe developed and produced by HYST boasts of the real-object quality of internationally advanced level. The product has been applied in various deep-sea pipelines of CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation) and exported to Petronas and other foreign customers. In 2019, X65QO deep-sea line pipes were successfully applied in China’s first deep-sea self-operated large gas field Lingshui 17-2, filling in the technological gap in China.
