HYST Brand Shines in “Offshore Giant”

On Dec. 4th, 2019, China's self-integrated P70, the world's largest tonnage FPSO（Floating Production Storage and Offlloading System）, will be shipped to Brazil, crossing 11 time zones and 40,000 miles across the ocean to the Brazil waters.Gr.8 low temperature tubes produced by HYST have been used on the world-class FPSO to help create the “Offshore Giant” P70.

P70 has a total length of more than 300 meters, a total width of about 74 meters, and the deck of which is equivalent to 3 standard football fields.P70, the design life of which is 25 years, the operating depth of which is 2,200 meters, the annual output of which can reach 1/4 of that of Daqing Oilfield, the oil reserves of which can reach 1.6 million barrels, the gas processing capacity of which is 6 million metric cube per day, the maximum displacement of which is 350 thousand tons, can be called to be a “Offshore Giant”. The main difficulty of this super offshore project is that the integration degree is high, the project workload is large, the project cycle is tight and the engineering interface is complex, so the requirements for steel tubes are extremelystrict. HYST is the unique manufacturer of low temperature Gr.8 tubes in China. The low temperature ASTM A333 Gr.8 tubes supplied have excellent low temperature toughness and can meet the impact property requirements under low temperature of -196℃, which has provided strong support for the successful delivery of FPSO P70.
